Swetha Ramachandran serves as the Assistant Vice President of Events of SAIS Global Women in Leadership. She is a first year MA student from India and is majoring in Conflict Management. She also works as a student assistant at the Dean’s Office at SAIS. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Political Science and Psychology and has prior experience interning with several reputed think tanks in India. During her studies, she undertook on-field research projects in Indian villages on the themes of livelihoods, intersectionality, ecology and rural development. Her other interests include public speaking and basketball. As the V.P of events, she hopes to bring about newer initiatives that positively impact student life on campus and help SAISers engage with gender debates more constructively.
