Emmanuel d’Harcourt is the Senior Health Director at the IRC. He heads a team of public health professionals who provide technical assistance to the IRC’s environmental health and primary health care programs in number countries. Most of Emmanuel’s experience has been in improving the health of children and women in countries affected by conflict. He has lived in Senegal and Rwanda, and worked in numerous countries. Emmanuel has presented and published on community case management, community nutrition, the use of technology in public health, and the impact of war on maternal and child health. He received his Medical Degree from Johns Hopkins University and his Masters from the Harvard School of Public Health, and completed a pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
